"While with the first book I sometimes felt that I wanted to skim through the battle scenes because of how extensive some of them were (and, to my personal taste, not all that interesting), with book II even in those parts I felt the need to savour every word carefully. Description flows at the perfect rythm, allowing me to picture myself amidst the chaos, experiencing victories and defeats as if they were my own."

"In Penance by Fate, new plots arise in the story bringing with them greater scope and depth. I'm an absolute fan of the dynamic between Nina and Smith, obviously the commic relief in the saga. Their tale is so well told and their adventures so plausible to imagine as our own that, inbetween those pages, we come to realize how we want to befriend those two characters. They are, for me, a delightfully light touch in a story otherwise so densely burdened with tough decisions."  -

"Emanuel Silva really evolved in this second book and I do hope we can read more from him.
Thanks for this adventure and I also felt the characters real and will miss them."  -
